Johan Ackermann has made six changes to his Lions side for this weekend’s derby with the Bulls.
The most significant switch sees his highly-rated first-choice front row – comprising Schalk van der Merwe, Robbie Coetzee and Julian Redelinghuys – come back into the starting fifteen, after being rested against the Force last week.
Changes at the back see Courtnall Skosan, Stokkies Hanekom and Chrysander Botha come into the side.
Lions: 15 Coenie van Wyk, 14 Courtnall Skosan, 13 Stokkies Hanekom, 12 Alwyn Hollenbach, 11 Chrysander Botha, 10 Marnitz Boshoff, 9 Ross Cronje, 8 Warren Whiteley (captain), 7 Warwick Tecklenburg, 6 Jaco Kriel, 5 Franco Mostert, 4 Rudi Mathee, 3 Julian Redelinghuys, 2 Robbie Coetzee, 1 Schalk van der Merwe.
Replacements: 16 Armand van der Merwe, 17 Corne Fourie, 18 Ruan Dreyer, 19 Willie Britz , 20 Derick Minnie, 21 Francois de Klerk, 22 Elton Jantjies, 23 Deon van Rensburg.

In my opinion Faf is faaaar better than Cronje, probably hoping for some 2nd half injection
How on earth can a coach select Cronje ahead of Faf for two weeks in a row? Is Ackers completely stupid. Cronje is the worst S15 rugby player I have ever seen and I am not joking. How these twins have made it in rugby is beyond me
@Saffex (Comment 2) : strange indeed, Faf was looking really good.
