According to media speculations, EP Kings winger, Sergeal Petersen, will be on loan to The Cheetahs for their 2015 Super Rugby season.
But a statement from EP Rugby CEO, Charl Crous, states there is no such agreement for Petersen to play at The Cheetahs.
“We have always said that we would assist our players to secure Super Rugby experience in the build up to our re-entry to Super Rugby in 2016,” said Crous.
“In the case of Sergeal Petersen, we have been informed by his agent that the Cheetahs are interested in securing his services for next year, but we have not yet had any discussions with them, let alone finalised any loan agreement,” he said.
“The announcement that Sergeal will be going to play for them is extremely premature,” he said.

Rate this guy. Wish we would procure these type of players in future. These one dimensional players we have won’t win us much and will always be exposed by a good defensive system.
@GreatSharksays (Comment 1) : very dangerous in open play, needs to work on his defense though, hope he can stay injury free during CC
@pierre_mackie (Comment 2) : Agreed, he was found wanting on defense on multiple occasions during the Junior World Cup. He needs to focus on that.
@pierre_mackie (Comment 2) : Very few players are perfect. How many tackles has Frans missed this season? Like the guy, offers something different on attack.
@GreatSharksays (Comment 4) : Big difference between missing a tackle here and there and tackling like Naas Botha.
