Jimmy Stonehouse, whose Steval Pumas team “lost against themselves” in Durban last weekend, will have new opposition this week, with the coach making several changes to his selection to face GWK Griquas in Nelspruit.

Heinrich Steyl replaces JW Bell at fullback in the only change to the starting backline – former Sharks speedster Rosco Speckman still not cracking a starting nod – while more changes have been up-front.

Vincent Kock switches from loose head to tight, making way for Corne Fourie to start in the number 1 jersey. Jaco Bouwer, somewhat anonymous in Durban, makes way for Uzair Cassiem at blindside flank. The former drops to the bench, along with the appallingly-named Dee-Jay Terblanche, who started in the number 3 jersey last week.

Dylan Frylink, a young scrumhalf who made his Super Rugby debut for the Stormers earlier this year, it the only new man in the 22 and will look to make his Pumas debut off the bench.

Steval Pumas: 15 Heinrich Steyl; 14 Ruwellyn Isbell, 13 JW Jonker, 12 Stefan Watermeyer, 11 Jerome Pretorius; 10 Justin van Staden, 9 Reynier van Rooyen; 8 Renaldo Bothma, 7 Uzair Cassiem, 6 Corné Steenkamp (capt), 5 Giant Mtyanda, 4 Frikkie Spies, 3 Vincent Koch, 2 Francois du Toit, 1 Corné Fourie.
Reserves: 16 Frankie Herne, 17 Dee-Jay Terblanche, 18 Marius Coetzer, 19 Jaco Bouwer, 20 Dylan Frylink, 21 JC Roos, 22 Rosco Speckman
