Someone tell me how sp retained his spot
Anyone mind commentating?
Nevamind! There are other sites out there.
in broken play fred was pinged holding on in the pumas 22
Pumas 0 Sharks 3 19 min
Pumas level the scores 3 a piece 21 min
Suddenly the ref starts seeing the unseen. ..
Difference between rugby and kicking
Bothma over to the left of the posts from a break down the left flank by speckman. Van Staaden converts 10-3 pumas
Kick it!!!
Pumas pass 10x we do it once and knock on. Can we also get a body builder as a coach! !!
Astle is off with a suspected hamstring injury. Lewies on
Speckman looking dangerous every time he gets the ball
Chavanga penalised for a “late” tackle van staaden takes the score to 13-3
First time marius makes a call and its ridiculous! !
Poor odwa
Jeez specman made odwa look silly there
Zeilinga closes the gap with a penalty on their 10m 13-6
Marius the touch judge reminds me so much of a library monitor. Overstating his authority.
We played decently for the first quarter, but only managed 3 points. Pumas have managed 13 since then.
@Bok-Clyde-Kiwi (Comment 21) : its time for him to say when π
Pumas are showing us how to play with the ball…
Fred lining up another after Bothma was judged to be off sides lucky as he intercepted the ball. 13-9
Try pumas….and thats how its done
Okay time to sub odwa now.this is imbarising
Keep kicking too deep and Pumas will punish you
Stop kicking every ball away
Getting schooled by a body builder and a second league team…
Beautiful rugby Pumas! More of that please! π
brilliant play watermeyer with a break and passed it Speckman, having a blinder, passed to van staden over in the corner 18-9
Pls tell Hoffman to stop kicking every FUCKEN ball away
‘We’re trying to move away from the kicking game’ said one of the coaches this week.
Certainly looks like it hey?
Time for sizo to actually start and odwa to retire and coach in the academy structures
@John Galt (Comment 36) : they tried first 25min
Odwa at fault for the 1st try, Hoffmann for the 2nd-Fred is having another poor game kicking too much, hoffmann is like a shit ruan pienaar at the moment imho-slow service and kicks everything-only tera has impressed so far imho
@Poisy (Comment 37) : or move to fullback where you don’t need as much pace
@Poisy (Comment 38) :
I’m sorry I must have missed that. Funny since I’ve been watching the whole game.
This style is not going to put bums on seats unfortunately?
@Bok-Clyde-Kiwi (Comment 40) : I am hoping van tonder can make that his position or sweil.the kid likes attacking let him try from fullback like willie
Sharks coaches should do a Harry Viljoen and absolutely forbid the Sharks to kick the ball for the next half. I think I just had it with this team – going to stop watching the Currie Cup altogether.
@John Galt (Comment 41) : what they have reverted to def wont put bums on seats but they are trying and hopefully it comes right
@Bokhoring (Comment 43) : atleast watch second half
We should lose and sommer loose the next 2 as well. I’m really getting tired of this crap rugby we’re trying to play.
@Poisy (Comment 42) : or maybe give swiel a run at 10-having watched him as a junior at wp I think he could be a future bok 10 if given time at 10 although he had a few crap games this year-Van Tonder deserves a shot at 15 after spending 2 years on the fringes
At least the Pumas are playing good rugby, gives us something to watch lol
@Bokhoring (Comment 43) : Dude, just do what I did and stop giving a shit about one particular team. The freedom is awesome.
For the first time I’m actually enjoying a game in which the Sharks are losing, simply because the joy of watching great rugby is more important and it just so happens that said rugby is provided by the Pumas right now.
Any quality offered by the Sharks will be savoured equally.
@JarsonX (Comment 46) : I’m a sharks and man utd fan-every week I’m watching games looking for exciting play yet every week I’m tearing my hair out shouting at the TV
good start to the second half Zeilinga bangs another one over 12-18 to the pumas
@Poisy (Comment 45) : No – had enough of this rubbish. If the guys at least tried to play some rugby and loose I can handle it. Not going watch Sharks playing “dryfings” any longer.
Chavanga with a moment of brilliance break down the left wing only a try saving tackle form jw bell saved the try
@Bok-Clyde-Kiwi (Comment 47) : so many things we can try but we just to scared. Even jordan at 10 could be brilliant
@Bokhoring (Comment 52) : they playing well now. You wouldn’t be here if you didnt wanna watch so just watch bro
@Poisy (Comment 54) : Jordaan at 10 or 15 is a no go. Dude canβt kick.
Hope the Pumas can keep this up, they are playing beautiful running rugby. Sharks have scraped through a couple. Might be good for them to suffer a loss at the hands of the Pumas. Yes I am biased, lived in Nelspruit for 17 years, and my boys are still there.
@Spirit of Rugby (Comment 56) : he can learn
@Poisy (Comment 58) : Rather prefer a natural.
Our Tackling is pathetic….Pumas own us today
odders given yellow for a deliberate knock down penalty instead of taking the easy 3 points going for a try in the corner
How many of these refs were paid to work this game? 2 who’s dad is head of Pumas referees. Linesman Breytenbach!! See the picture?
Cooper has been nowhere
Astle and Oosthuizen injured…
@Poisy (Comment 63) : He did kick the ball once.
@Here be dragons (Comment 64) : and kleinhans earlier, we running out of replacements
@KILLER SHARK (Comment 62) : Oh please!! Give credit to the Pumas for playing rugby in a positive way. Gee a top team really shouldn’t be looking to blame the ref, especially not if they insist on kicking every ball to the Pumas to run with!
Hoffman slowww Tera trying hard!
Better, much better.
Shit chadwick can’t get the ball away for a certain try
Much better play by the Sharks. Ends in a golden opportunity lost by the inability to pass.
Try SP Marais, I almost cant believe it lol
Try SP lucky but we will take it
Turnover try again but I’ll take it because the buildup before was great.
Try!!!!
Nice try from a tighthead! Good play from Sithole to first draw the defense.
sp over in the left hand corner and fred converts. for the first time the sharks are in the lead 19-18
Conversion over 18-17 sharks now can we see some running rugby please boys
@SharkED (Comment 66) : no way… Missed that one I guess. Wentzel is apparently away for a few weeks, not looking good then.
Pumas loosies have been miles better than ours in everything
Ah…a try!
Good try Sharks
What a bummer that both starting locks are injured. Not good for today, certainly not good for the season ahead if the injuries are long term!
@KILLER SHARK (Comment 68) : All in all Hoffmann has been ok though…
18-22 Sharks…19 mins to go…
Ref not blowing the Pumas for sealing off after the Sharks counter ruck.
@KingCheetah (Comment 67) : and the fact that the linesman’s dad is head of Pumas referees? ?
Did anyone actually see Bothma grounding the ball for his try? And if he did, the ref certainly didn’t see it. He looked closely…then awarded the try…when it was 30cm off the ground!!
Surely that pass was forward!!
@pastorshark (Comment 88) : Didn’t see that. Did they show replays?
It’s all not very inspirational though, is it?
@pastorshark (Comment 89) : Also thought so.
Ref really helping the Pumas, King Cheetah argue all you want, but again a ruck, Puma player holds on and after ball is taken away he again gets his hands on the ball and plays it, pathetic really.
@Spirit of Rugby (Comment 90) : They did…and I still couldn’t see ball on grass. Hoffman’s hand was under the ball, then Bothma was turned, then the ref awarded the try…hmmm!
SP, SP, SP…
Agggggg SP with his customary direct kick into touch
Try pumas….ai
To be fair, the Pumas have been better than us!
Very simple and direct set move by the Pumas ends with Watermeyer scoring under the posts. Very effective rugby Pumas. And at the right time.
Another error costing the Sharks.
Sharks haven’t been terribly good, but all the decisions are going the Pumas way.
Whatever the ref is thinking, that is the result.
However, the Pumas aren’t playing well enough that this should be the deciding factor, if the Sharks pick up their game, they’ll win.
Pumas have played better, more attractive rugby and really deserve to win…but I still hope we can pull it through!!
@Spirit of Rugby (Comment 99) : yip again we fail to clear our 22 and we get punished
@pastorshark (Comment 98) : agree, they have shown the sharks how to play WITH the ball
Oh dear!
Wow well done Pumas!!!
Pumas get the bonus point try. Really great rugby by them!
Try pumas game set match-sharks team needs a few changes after this game
Two missed lineouts = try…pretty useless…
Well done Pumas, you deserve this win….
Wow great try Pumas
@Spirit of Rugby (Comment 106) : Really good. I’m pretty chuffed for Jimmy Stonehouse. He’s doing great work there!
Let’s at least do something worthwhile here…
Outplayed in every department well played pumas
Whooohooo and another. Bonus point try, and so the revenge is served on the Sharks
In saying that, I predicted the Sharks to lose, and again on todays play they deserve to lose.
Or not…
@pastorshark (Comment 111) : Agree. The Pumas played a nicely balanced game in the way that the NZ sides do.
The difference between a coach and a manager again I’m afraid to say
@KingCheetah (Comment 114) : Yeah, they deserved that…
Well done Pumas, beating the Sharks with bonus point, well deserved.
Congratulations Pumas!!! Sharks git schooled. Hope to see SP again in next game
Well done Pumas. A pleasure to watch! π
So the Pumas are now ahead of the Sharks on the log. Jimmy Stonehouse predicted that they would end 5th this season. At this stage it could be better than that!
No matter if you are a neutral or a Pumas fan, this was entertaining. Sharks also played more positively.
Sharks loosies are poor this year…
What a pathetic display I am truely embarrassed to be a Sharks supporter. A pathetic display from the Sharks, individual players embarrassing, team tactics completely useless. Coach bow your head in shame, players to the same. Well played Pumas.
Sharks dont look like a team…not focused…
The 7 point win against a 14 man Griekwas…unconvincing victories against Pumas at the tank and Cheetahs…
Anyone know why they so disjointed?
Kry vir julle Sharks π
The Pumas made silly mistakes…and the old Sharks team would have capitalised on that…but the Pumas just eased back…
Sharks loosies not defending well…dont cover in defence at all…allowing Pumas to break through the middle….
Maybe now changes will be made?
@Here be dragons (Comment 130) : It does not mater which players are selected, as long as we have idiot coaches that believe kicking to ball is the only way to play rugby we will never move forward, there is no guts in this team
They not playing for that jersey and honour. They really look “scared”
@Hmmm (Comment 127) : once again they only played good rugby for the 10min they were playing with 14 men!!!!
@sharks_lover (Comment 131) : I could have copied and pasted that remark at the end of every Bulls game so far.
