Pieter-Steph du Toit will see a second specialist in Cape Town today after yesterday’s initial appointment didn’t go quite as badly as expected.
We’re a long way from being able to make any sort of announcement here – and the player still needs your good wishes and prayers as much as ever – but there must now be at least a little doubt that doom and gloom prognosis from yesterday is accurate.
We did say yesterday morning that we were reacting to media reports regarding the injury and that the Sharks had yet to confirm anything. Yesterday’s injury report from the union fell a long way short of what all of us feared and in this case, we need to fervently hold on to the hope that no news is, indeed, good news.
Keep those messages of support coming and continue to pray – harder than ever. Maybe, just maybe, things aren’t as bad as at first thought.

Holding thumbs.
Crossing all fingers and toes for good news today 😉
Oooh nice…that would be great news
Hoping and praying you receive some good news Pieter-Steph!
Really hope its not as bad as it seems, firstly for him as a player/person and then for the team.
Awesomeness!
Praying for a speedy recovery!
Holding thumbs bigtime.
Everytime I read his name I say a prayer. Thanks for the update Rob.
Has anyone seen PSDT’s latest tweet?
@Saarks (Comment 9) : Hallelujah!
