Sharks centre Tyler Fisher has been included in the SARU Sevens Academy squad to play in tournaments in Italy and Switzerland this month.
Fisher, who has enjoyed limited opportunities at the Sharks since emerging from the junior ranks, seems to be turning into something of a Sevens rugby specialist; he and Sharks junior team mate Neil Maritz both played for the Suzuki Wailers invitational side at the Dubai Sevens in December last year.
Congrats to Tyler on his selection for this squad and we hope it goes well.
The team travelling to Europe is:
1. Carel du Preez
2. Ruhan Nel
3. Sandile Ngcobo (capt)
4. Lungelo Gosa
5. Sibahle Maxwane
6. Vincent Maruping
7. Dylan Sage
8. TJ Goddard
9. Tyler Fisher
10. Siviwe Soyizwapi
11. Riaan Esterhuizen
12. Daniel Maartens
Non traveling reserves:
Thabo Mabuza
Joel Booysen

The London QC will be happy.
@Salmonoid the Subtle (Comment 1) : And I’m happy too, congrats Tyler and all the others selected.
Wonder if it wouldn’t have been better if he got currie cup game time
@Poisy (Comment 3) : it would better if he could crack the Blitzbokke side.
Good luck, son…
@Salmonoid the Subtle (Comment 1) :
Congrats Tyler!
Congrats Tyler. You deserve the call-up!
I see the kings’ winger, Siviwe Soyizwapi, is also part of the group.
