Junior Springbok coach, Dawie Theron has made three changes to his starting lineup to face Australia in tonight’s final pool match at the World Rugby Under-20 Champioship in Calvisano, Italy.
Khanyo Ngcukana who played against Italy in their first match returns on the right wing to replace Grant Hermanus, who moves to the bench and EW Viljoen replace JT Jackson at outside centre.
The final change in the starting lineup sees Sharks flank Dan du Preez drop down to the bench to make way for Jacques Vermeulen.
“We have picked a very competitive side to face the quality Australian outfit. They showed with their two wins against Samoa and Italy that they are a huge threat, especially with the ball in hand, so we will have to work hard to counter their strong points.”
“Our forwards are showing good form and the key for us will be to keep our momentum, reduce the number of errors and to create more opportunities for our backs,” said Theron.
The Junior Springboks are currently joined on log points with Australia in Pool B, but takes the top spot due to a comfortable 32 points difference.
The match starts at 8:30pm and will be televised live on SuperSport.

Final score 46-13…Baby Boks had 13 men on the field at the end there after 2 yellow cards…
Geez thats a big win, awesome result for the Junior Springboks 😯
That’s a big win.
Some more rumours coming out of Cape Town…..apparently PSDT, Marcell Coetsee, Cornal Hendricks and J Goosen top the list of players being sought for Stormers next year……Mitchell says no to Stormers job….
@grant10 (Comment 9) : You can have Goosen and Hendricks. Keep on dreaming about the other two. 😈
@Ben (Comment 10) : LOL…I wouldnt be concerned Ben, The WPRU are so incapable , they honestly are the biggest bunch of amateurs in the game…..your players are safe, of that I am sure.
@grant10 (Comment 11) : Damn, I hope so!
@Ben (Comment 10) : Agreed…please let it be…
Why the heck have we not secured Marcel and PSDT by now? Get Hendricks as well John. No other wing in the country scores as many tries than him. Those assist coaches need to go and get Mitchell as the head coach. PLEASE.
Well done boys!
