Lekker man lekker!
@Leeubok (Comment 1) : I don’t know half of these players – and when it comes to the Lions, that just makes me even more nervous ๐
strong squad…. ๐ฏ
I like this Harold Vorster guy. Very good squad.
@robdylan (Comment 2) : Where is Derick Minnie?
@robdylan (Comment 2) : I’m already afraid of the name I do recognise ๐
@ChrisS (Comment 5) : injured . out for the season
A large number of these guys played super rugby this season. The only players we’ve lost between super rugby and currie cup are jantjies (japan), Tecklenburg (japan), hond (France), and then the 4 boks who probably won’t make the WC squad. So the Lions should go into the CC with a very settled team
I think it’s safe to say the Lions are favourites to win the Currie Cup ๐
@ChrisS (Comment 5) : Noooooo!!! ๐ What happened???
@vanmartin (Comment 9) : Definitely!! Classy players and a coach who gives them the freedom to have fun and express themselves.
Hopefully this game will be a cracker with the Lions bringing down such a strong squad.
Will be great to have live rugby in PMB again.
Anyone else going?
@vanmartin (Comment 9) : nonono . the sharks clearly are ๐
Interesting to see how they combine these guys, def a lot of good players.
@Zibbie (Comment 13) : My jinxing is not to be trifled with. I’ve backed Meyer since the start of his Bok coach job ๐
Maybe this will help (SR players in bold):

The following players are currently injured and are therefore unavailable for selection:
ยท Robbie Coetzee (26) (hamstring โ 2 weeks)
ยท Andries Coetzee (25) (foot โ 8 weeks)
ยท Derick Minnie (28) (knee โ out for the season)
Strong and probably more settled
@Baylion (Comment 16) : Probably lacking an out and out fullback unless Combrinck or Boshoff play there. Also interesting who will be reserve scrummy and hooker.
@vanmartin (Comment 15) : haha . yea who ever i support loose .
you can see that with the boks 2/6
@vanmartin (Comment 15) : Just remember, with great power comes great responsibility. In lieu of that, I expect you, with immediate effect, to endorse the Bulls, England and Australia (all sporting codes), Man United, Beyonce, Dan Brown, SA Breweries and Spur Steak Ranches. I know I can depend on you to do the right thing.
@Culling Song (Comment 20) : if the ashes gets played a black hole will form ๐
Lionsworld? ๐
@Zibbie (Comment 21) :

@Culling Song (Comment 20) : …and there I thought I was the only one properly tired of Spur….
@Culling Song (Comment 20) : I thought about taking up an interest in Protea cricket again the other day and then Bangladesh happened…
@Zibbie (Comment 21) : That’s such an apt description for the competition anyway ๐
@jonnow (Comment 12) : Got my tickets today, will def be there.
Should be a cracker of a game with the young guys out to impress, the only problem will be a bit of rustiness and lack of cohesion, but still a good run-out, seriously tempted to make the trip from Durbs.
@FireTheLooser (Comment 24) : Properly tired…? Um, I suppose you could say that, although I’m more inclined to use the kind of language Rob would use when discussing PSDT…
@Culling Song (Comment 28) : Spur has that parents with young children market so well cornered. Whoever dreamt up the idea of combining colouring books, jungle gyms, Playstations and build-your-own-waffles with a family restaurant must be enjoying a lifetime supply of Nachos and pink sauce at the moment. We are lucky though as we have choices. We can decide between the few hundred branches of Spur in Centurion and Pretoria. I pity the parents whose only choice is the Spur in Pofadder with that one waiter that has the crazy eyes.
@vanmartin (Comment 29) : Thankfully we have RJ’s….quality food, quality service and close enough experience to spur for kids.
@vanmartin (Comment 29) : @FireTheLooser (Comment 30) : thankfully my kids are old enough to skip the jungle gyms, colouring books etc. but living in Middle Earth we’re not allowed to pass a McDonald’s without stopping.
@vanmartin (Comment 25) : o what fun that was NOT to watch!!!! Think maybe they should get rid of a couple of egos!!!!!!
@Culling Song (Comment 20) : hey leave Man U out of it!!!
@Uli Boelie (Comment 26) : Hey Uli, got my tickets today as well, by the sounds of it ticket sales are going well, so will hopefully be a nice big crowd to support our boys.
@jonnow (Comment 34) : you guys should organise a li’l Sharksworld meetup
@jonnow (Comment 12) : I’ll be there with my sons…
@pastorshark (Comment 36) : And a whole lot of mates…
@Culling Song (Comment 20) : ๐
@Culling Song (Comment 20) : I can agree with your list wholeheartedly!!
@Uli Boelie (Comment 26) : Yup…have my tickets safely in my wallet…
@vanmartin (Comment 29) : Thank goodness my boys prefer sushi!!!!
@pastorshark (Comment 41) : I hear if you deep fry sushi it tastes just like fish, you think it’s true?
@pastorshark (Comment 39) : That’s dangerous! Having any opinion of mine endorsed by the clergy is likely to make me even more egoistic and self-centred (if that is even possible)!
@JD (Comment 42): ๐
@robdylan (Comment 35) : Good idea Rob.
I’ll be there with my son, aka Woody on SharksWorld.
Any SharksWorlders keen for a beer after the game, give me a call on oh eight two 805 7002.
