  • @sharks_lover (Comment 48) : Meyer decided this year to play Lambie rugby – and the he does not play Lambie – THAT is just clueless.

Pollard is a reactive player – always that second-after-the-fact.

He passes when he can’t run – that is AFTER he killed space out wide !

  • Awesome game by the Boks…love HM as coach, hope he takes us to world cup 2019 too – the man is a rugby genius, able to coach this team without any recognised coaches as his assistants…

….unlike that loser Cheika who needs Larkham (the Brumbies head coach) as one of his assistant coaches.

    😈 🙄 😈

  • know it is only a pipe dream as to which Bok team should be selected, but no doubt the pensioners and favourites of Heyneke Meyer will take preference his team selections, form does not plays a role.

Here is the team I would select right now and I know there are one or 2 of the players that can be swopped around when it comes to the Starting 15.

    15 Willie
    14 De Allende
    13 Kriel
    12 F Steyn
    11 Habana/Mvovo
    10 Lambie/Pollard
    09 Faf de Klerk
    08 Duanne
    07 Alberts
    06 Marcell
    05 PSDT
    04 Eben
    03 Jannie
    02 Bismark
    01 Beast

    16 Britz
    17 Koch
    18 Kitshoff
    19 Lood
    20 Kriel / Brussow
    21 Reinach
    22 Pollard
    23 Mvovo/ Habana

The following players should be there for backup: JpP, Matfield, Strauss, Nyakane, Faf de Klerk, Louw, Schalk the hulk, Hougaard, Elton Jantjies and Lionel Mapoe.

  • @byron (Comment 176) : JDV actually asked him if he was OK with the way the loosehead was scrumming. The Argie tighthead also had his knee on the ground at pretty much every scrum. That said the Boks were terrible and lacklustre in general. Still reverting to the one off runner as primary attack option when things don’t go their way.

The Hugo Porta game the Brand is referring to was played in SA but that team, which was really an Argentinian team, was touring as the South American Pumas (I think). They got a heavy drubbing in the first test but won the second with Porta almost walking on water. Many still believe that he was the worlds best fly half.
