The time has come, the walrus said, to talk of many things. Of ship and shoes and sealing wax, of hurricanes and kings.

Something like that, anyway. That Lewis Carroll fellow was on opium most of the time, wasn’t he? Hope he saved some for the poor Kings here.

  • Kings doing better than anticipated….. However, the final 20mins normally proves to be their undoing – wouldn’t mind the Kings achieving the impossible here.

  • Kings seem extremely happy to have a breather during the Canes penalty kick….their fitness seems to be an issue.

  • Canes butchered a huge overlap…..opting to run into 3 defenders instead of passing – how very South African of them.

  • I wonder whether the Kings have the self-belief to win here….it is theirs for the taking….they will never again this season come this close to beating a kiwi side.

  • @FireTheLooser (Comment 25) : well seeing as a lot of their preseason was basically them meeting at the gym to train without any solid professional coaching/fitness plan I really expect them to suffer with fitness issues. Once again a clear case of administrators setting up players to fail and this really piss me off!!!

  • Valiant effort from a team that has been totally screwed over by cheeky Watson.

Love the Carroll reference and play on words, Bertie.

  • @Big Fish (Comment 27) : yes they are really trying in every game but the lack of preseason training is getting to them in the last 10-20 minutes!

  • @FireTheLooser (Comment 18) : Every union wanted him in 2013 when he was captain of Grey, opted to Sta with us, a very gifted young lad! Incredibly proud of him. Not only a good player, but an incredible human being! Great kid

  • @Ludz (Comment 31) : Of all the Kings players, that kid is by far the most impressive and talented – if he keeps doing what he’s doing, he’ll be among our top open siders.

I couldn’t quite understand why he played off the bench so many times, today’s start should see him as the first choice 6 for the Kings.

  • @Ludz (Comment 31) : @FireTheLooser (Comment 32) : for the Kings supporters I really hope this whole sad situation does not let good players like him decide to rather leave than struggle to get paid during the Super rugby off season!

  • Lol, only Sharks supporters could hate on their own team for drawing and then find a way to be positive about the pathetic Kings losing by 22 points.

  • @Seth101 (Comment 34) : think most of us were extremely disappointed as the Sharks should have beaten the Bulls however a week is a long time in Super rugby and we’re over it and ready for this weekend!
If you take the way the players was let down by management I personally think they did well to be only 8 points behind with 15-20min to go!!! Pity they could not keep it closer after 80 (but the Superbru margin point I got is welcomed with open arms)!
