Paul Jordaan has won the pink “best defender” jersey for a second week running, after his impressive tackling exploits against the Crusaders over the Easter weekend.
The Sharks returned to the training field on Monday after a well deserved week off and once again handed out special training jerseys to four players whose feats the previous week warranted special praise.
Etienne Oosthuizen was voted the team’s Most Valuable Player and scooped the coveted yellow jersey for the first time (he’s won the “work rate” award before). The green jersey for best work rate went to scrumhalf Cobus Reinach, an impressive achievement indeed, given that only forwards have worn it to date.
Odwa Ndungane was awarded the “polka dot special” for best attitude.
A big well done to all four men. Keep it up!

Work ethic = none stop kicking? Hmmm.
Must say i have to disagree on the Odwa award. Great guy and always great attitude but Sbu Sithole wasnt in the match day 23…warmed up with the team as someone had a niggle and then instead of showering and going to sit in the stands he sat on the bench and cheered his mates on and got water etc.
I had a feeling Cobus was in the running for the green jersey. Especially putting in massive hit on Nadolo and taking Read down twice in one passage of play. Seriously impressive considering the competition for that jersey.
They should have a jersey that’s sky blue in colour for the guy that kicks the most pointless up-and-unders.
Congrats to all.
Can’t understand how Odwa is keeping Sbu Sithole out the team..We going to end up losing Sbu.
Congrats to the 4 players who received jerseys!!!
@Esmo (Comment 6) : seems sbura is totally committed to the sharks .think we might see him play quite a bit on tour.
@50shadesofshark (Comment 8) : must agree think he will get his chance during the next 7 weeks as they will have to use a lot of rotation to keep the players fresh!
Really hope so..he was looking good during those warm up games!
Do the rugby365 okes not watch any rugby at all? Check out this interview with Stefan Lewies:

Pretty embarrassing to be under the impression the Lions game will be his first Super Rugby game of the season. Monumentally ignorant…
Keep going with the good processes you have in place, Sharks!
@pastorshark (Comment 11) : idiots!!! Geez that pathetic!!!
PJ gets Pink, should ask why he making most tackles, cause he the weakest link and Netball players,Bullarinas and then Crusaders targeted his channel,as for CJ he should get a prize for chucking a game in the blink of an eye, worst 9 in SR ,give him prize for that, only EO is showing his true worth
