Halftime
Canes 21 – 12 Jaguares
Coles getting away with an off the ball shoulder “clean out”…. probably his wonderful disciplinary record that ensured he got away without even a penalty. 🙄
64mins
33 – 15 To the Canes
Savea with 3 tries, Barrett and Coles 1 each
@FireTheLooser (Comment 2) :
Let’s see if Coles get away with another cheap shot
Coles again, late hit with the shoulder.
@nortie (Comment 5) : Will probably get away with a warning for “accidental” late shoulder. 🙄
Nope, not even a warning.
The gods of rugby can do no wrong.
@FireTheLooser (Comment 8) :
Didn’t even warrant a second look, if it was one of our players they would have used all the angles including roping in a NASA satellite
I also thought Barret was in front of Ardi Savea when he scored the first try
Referee talking to Jaguars front row like they’re his dogs….classy.
Very strange. When Savea scored his third try it was because the Canes pushed the Jags off their own ball, since then the Jags have destroyed the Canes’ scrums.
@nortie (Comment 9) : And he won’t be cited for either incident….frustrating.
When he finally gets nailed for an offense in future, they’ll let him off for his exmplery disciplinary record. The untouchable gods of rugby.
@FireTheLooser (Comment 10) : l
With refs, familiarity breeds contempt.
They must stop calling the players on their names.
@nortie (Comment 13) : Agree 100%
Picked the Canes by 10
Hoping they don’t score again now, hate this last few minutes of a game, especially when the clock turns red
And no surprise, margin point gone.
SuperBru sucks
Aaaaand after the hooter I lose the margin point…that makes it 3 out of 4 times in this round that that has happened…as nortie said…Superbru sucks…
@nortie (Comment 9) : The Canes were in front of the kicker very clearly at least three times…wasn’t picked up once…
@nortie (Comment 9) : And not looking at the Coles incident and flippantly saying there was nothing in it was a shocker…late, leading with the shoulder, knock to the face…nothing in it… 😯
Fulltime
Hurricanes 40 – 22 Jaguares
@pastorshark (Comment 19) :
Different sets of rules for certain players.
I got the impression that the ref was going to allow them to get that BP try, no matter what
Reds 5- 3 Highlanders after 8 min
Lander’s Thompson butchers a certain try, good face paced game this, both teams looking to go from all over
Wonderful try by the Reds’ Frisby, they look nothing like the rabble they were in the first few rounds.
12-3 to the Reds
Reds get their 3rd try.
22-6 after 36 minutes.
Highlander’s being run ragged mostly due to absolutely woeful defense and a Reds team having a full go.
20 – 6 To the Reds 😯
Highlander’s must have missed about 30 tackles so far, and it’s still the first half.
Reds 22-6 Landers
Half time
@nortie (Comment 28) : Nice…..finally an upset on the cards – too soon?
I see the final score was Reds 28-27 Highlanders.
So the Landers fought back quite well in the second half, missed it though.
The only thing this result means is that the Sharks v Lions won’t be the deciding game in most people’s SuperBru.
GSP is stuffed already for the majority.
@nortie (Comment 30) : yes mine is gone with the Reds victory!!!
@JD (Comment 31) :
Picks 7,382 157,249 78 164,709
Yep, together with 157 200 odd others 😆
Only 7382 picked the Reds. I was thinking the Sharks game would determine who gets GSP’s and who doesn’t.
Now I wouldn’t mind seeing the Kings beating the Bulls either, what’s an extra point dropped just to witness that?
@nortie (Comment 32) : ja would be nice but think that’s just a bit more than Kings can do.
@JD (Comment 33) :
Yep, went Bulls by 15 or something like that, so they will either win by 9 or less or 21 or more just to spite me 😆
@nortie (Comment 34) : ja think they should beat them by 10-20 points.
Son of a gun… the Reds has destroyed my hope of a full house. Well not saying the Sharks Lions was a sure pick but come on.. who in their right mind would have picked the Reds for the win. DAMN DAMN DAMN those bloody Aussie teams. What a bunch of ……. (well I’ll let you fill in the blanks)
